Do texturizers work like relaxers?

OKay girls( and guys if you can help too) So i got keratin treatment and i dye my hair with Salerm semi-permanent color and i really dont need to relax my hair much is just the new hair on the two ends of my head.... if u guys get what i mean. I was wondering if texturizers, however you spell it, work too! bc i want to curl my hair up and be able to have iit pretty when i relax it , it gets brittle and mama doesnt not like that.
