Tell Me If this sounds right...?

So the other day I rescued a black widow that my mom was about to kill...... so I had to save it from her, I put it in a glad container about maybe 6in. in length. On the bottom i have layered it with soil and a small pebble, I have poked around 20 or 21 holes with a small nail and a have provided it with a house fly to kill and earlier today this morning i sprayed its web and wall once or twice with a spray bottle. Does this sound good?
